Summer Camp

Click here to view details about the upcoming 2011 summer program

StarBot's one week Robot Summer Camp combines technological education with the fun and exciting experience of designing and building a robot. Students spend the week alongside instructors with many years of robot building experience and the latest knowledge of robotic technology. Former Summer Camp students have attended the finest high schools and universities. Integrating math, science, engineering, technology, design methodologies, project management and fun into the camp has been the key to success for StarBot Summer Robotic Camps for many years. Students with no prior knowledge of robotics learn and develop the necessary skills to design and build a task oriented robot to compete at the end of the camp. Stealth Learning happens as the students learn the math, science and physics needed to complete the construction of the amazing robots. Small class size affords the students individualized attention from instructors and counselors as they design and build their robots. Each camp is strictly limited to twenty students. The students are engaged from the first day in hands-on fun. At the same time they are immersed in:

  • Introduction to Engineering

  • Design Methodologies

  • Project Management

  • Teamwork Principles

  • Materials

  • Pneumatics

  • Electronics

  • Algebra & Geometry Principles

  • Physics

Both girls and boys enjoy the thrill of creating a technological wonder with their own hands.
